As soon as Mohidhar entered his room with a heavy file, Sambit got scared. That file might have some proposals which needed his permission, but if he gave permission he would fall into the bad books of the school Managing Committee. While he was thinking all these, Mohidhar said, "I have a proposal to you; Sambit realized that his fear was going to be true. He asked in a dry voice. "What is the proposal?"
"Next year on the "Earth and Art Revolution Day" we shall celebrate the birthday of Mother Earth."
Sambit's voice seemed to come from afar, "Have I heard exactly what you said?" Mohidhar replied in an animated voice, "Oh! Yes, you have heard correctly. How we shall do it and what type of programme will be prepared - this whole matter is recorded in the file. Please go through it. Today is Saturday and so half-day, I'll come after the classes are over and then we shall discuss in details." "Oh, no!" Sambit said in an excited tone, "Please tell me now and not afterwards. I am asking Robin to take your class. You told me many things previously which surprised me, but today you have made such a proposal which, any man of the Earth may think - is beyond my imagination.
Mohidhar started laughing, pulling a chair sat on it and said, "Alright, listen to me, on the Earth, every day the birthdays of millions of people are celebrated. Among them are very famous persons and also the most ordinary persons”. The only difference is that the birthdays of the famous are celebrated in a grand manner and the birthdays of ordinary persons are celebrated by their family members only. But a famous or an ordinary man, whatever work he might have done that he has done or is doing using the treasures of the Earth. Again whatever experiments he is doing, is doing by transforming the natural wealth of the Earth, and standing on the Earth's soil.
That means no natural fundamental ingredients are created by men or imported from another planet. If men are congratulated for their achievements, their birthdays are celebrated, and then the Earth who, for billons of years has bestowed all her treasures for the well-being of all the creatures must be felicitated. We should select a particular day in the year, and whenever we stay on the Earth, we must celebrate the birthday of Mother Earth in the way we can. We can give her nothing except the gratitude of our heart. On the basis of our gratefulness to her, we can say:-

    "On your happy birthday
        You stay well Mother Earth.
    We are grateful to you.
        Just be happy dear Mother"

Mohidhar stopped a little and then started again. "Now I want to explain about the Art Revolution. We have heard about many revolutions - French Revolution, Green Revolution, White Revolution, and Industrial Revolution. What we mean by Art Revolution is that on that day with bowed heads, we shall happily admit that the greatest artist of the natural world is Mother Earth or her Creator. In a petal of a little flower, on the body of a bird or in the rainbow of the sky - He has poured in the colours and created such beauty, one part of which is not possible to be created by any man, how great an artist he may be. Therefore, on that day, we shall remember the glorious creations and the Creator through our creations in fine arts like dance, song, recitation etc. I have kept this proposal in the file."
Sambit remained silent for some time and then said. "When human beings will realize your ideas properly, then there will be no warfare, no fighting between countries"
"You are right. When a war starts between two countries, the Earth or the countries are not harmed. If a country is destroyed, even then its name remains in the pages of history; the Earth also remains the same. Only men suffer great loss. Driven away from their homes, losing relatives and friends they move around frantically from one end to the other, from one country to the other. Everyone ignores them in that condition but our Mother Earth - we are not equal to whose dust particles even, never neglect anyone.
When a human body is destroyed and perished in the dust - can the dust particles of a king and that of a mendicant be separated? The words of the majestic Emperor Alexander during the last few days of his life are quite educative to all the men of the whole world. When Emperor Alexander realized that his end was near, and then he told the persons present - I want to give three advices to the men of the world as I realized these standing in front of the impending death. The first of this advice was that his dead body would be borne only by the doctors as the human beings should understand that the greatest doctor of the Earth also would not be able to bring back a man from death. In the second advice, he said that the invaluable treasures earned by him throughout his whole life should be scattered in the way of his funeral procession so that men could understand that these worldly treasures earned by him were of no use.
His third and the most important advice was that the two hands of his dead body should be kept outside his coffin so that everyone would understand that the great emperor Alexander also left the Earth with empty hands. Therefore, even one is running after money and wealth throughout the whole life, the sum total remains zero. The man leaves the Earth empty-handed. I think the essence of these three advices is that the wealth that a man collects gradually, sometimes depriving others and thinks to be his own, is actually earned on the Earth and has to be left here while leaving the Earth. Whatever is left is love for Mother Earth and our Mother Earth returns a hundred percent more of this love not only to man but to the future generations for a long time. She bestows everything on us. I think if we can wholeheartedly realize the essence of the three advices, then the advices will get its proper value.
How kind is our Mother Earth if we go or we go from one country to the other - she gives us shelter. Everywhere there are the same soil, same sky, same water, and the same air. Yet we always proudly say that we human beings are the greatest creatures. We must work going above humanity. A very funny logic indeed! Humans have not created themselves as the greatest creatures. Our Creator has endowed them with the intelligence of a much more advanced level compared to the other creatures. Is there any such laboratory in the whole world where a tiny particle of Grey matter can be created and then implanted in the human brain? So mankind has become the greatest among creatures due to the Creator and human beings do whatever they can within their limitations. One who works continuously rising above everything is our Mother Earth. Do you know how much we should do? First of all, become civilized and prove ourselves to be civilized. It's a very difficult task. But with some small habits, we can easily learn to accomplish that. We are surprised and ashamed too to think that in this age of extreme development of science and technology, Government has to advertise everywhere for the public not to throw garbage here and there, not to commit nuisance everywhere, to keep the area surrounding the house clean. We have learnt to use costly mobiles, through the internet, we can now stay connected with the whole world so easily, we have easily become proficient at doing the household work or giving service for the office or bank by using the service of highly developed technology.
Along with these if we can master those small habits, then we can put our feet on the first step of carrying out our responsibilities, consciousness towards the Earth and taking care of the Earth". Saying this Mohidhar stopped and just then the final school - bell rang.
